Estas fotos fueron hechas especialmente para las invitaciones de fashion week de la colección de mi amigo T.E.M.O.R.E.S. La modelo nunca llegó y urgía hacer las fotos a tiempo para el desfile. Optamos por usar a Paula Arriola, modelo y amiga, y de esa manera sabíamos que no fallábamos. La composición era muy simple y el objetivo era solo resaltar los colores de la ropa de Temores. Al final decidí usar las fotos para un articulo sobre TEMORES para alguna de las revistas para las cuales trabajo. Un día, en una tienda de revistas, Sanborns, tomo una de esas revistas indie (rocks) y veo estas fotos publicadas sin autorización ni créditos. STUPIDMAGS!

These photos were specially made for the Fashion Week invitation of T.E.M.O.R.E.S., a very close friend of mine. The model we were going to use never arrived, so we made it with Paula Arriola, model and a good friend. She is a very good model, so we knew it couldn't fail. It was a very simple idea and we wanted to focus attention on the clothing's colors. I wanted to use the photos for one magazine I work for, but one day I went to a local store, Sanborns, and I saw them on an indie (rocks) magazine, published without my autorization neither credits. STUPIDMAGS!

Inicialmente las fotos las tomé para una publicidad para el myspace de
una tienda de ropa vintage en guadalajara (méxico). Me gustaron mucho
las fotos y a algunos amigos mios también y me recomendaron mandarlas
a alguna revista. Decidí enviarlas a la revista mexicana Celeste pero
ni siquiera me contestaron el email con la propuesta.

I took these photos initially for the myspace of a vintage clothes
shop in guadalajara (mexico). I liked the photos a lot and also many
of my friends liked them, they suggest me to send the photos to some
magazine.I decided to sent them to this mexican magazine Celeste but
they didn't even answer my email with the proposal.

CHUPAS! by Sergio Orospe

Chupas! llegó a mi vida en diciembre del 2007, cuando lo encontramos afuera de un supermercado una noche. Desde el principio me di cuenta que era un perro carismático y fotogénico, asi que decidí tomarle unos retratos e imprimirlas. Me gustaron mucho y las presenté en una exposición que hice junto con Jaime Martinez y Tony Solis. Cuando surgió la idea de hacer este blog, decidimos utilizar una fotografía de un animal para la imagen principal. Estaba entre Yoshimi el gato, que era un huesped provisional de nuestra casa, y Chupas!, nuestro perro. Al final ganó una de las tantas fotos que tomé de Yoshimi y Chupas! fue rechazado por el blog de las fotografías rechazadas...

Chupas! arrived to my life last year on december, when we found him a cold night at the main door of a supermarket. Since the beggining I realized that he was a very funny and charismatic dog, so I decided to take some photographs of him and print them. I liked them a lot and I show them at an expo I had with Jaime Martinez and Tony Solis. When the idea of this blog came out, we decided to use an animal image for the blog name. We had some photos of Yoshimi the cat (a provisional host of our house) and Chupas!, our beloved dog. Yoshimi won, so Chupas! was rejected by the rejected-photos-blog...

WHERE IS KATE? by Tony Solís

Fueron realizadas dos días después de haber tomado las anteriores con Sik, mi modelo hombre favorito. Tanto éstas como las anteriores las hice por puro y mero ocio, simples con fondo blanco.
En esta ocasión usé las t-shirts de TEAMO pero no encontramos la de Kate Moss, he ahi el nombre de la serie. Espero que Sik me visite pronto para poder hacerle fotos nuevas, pues la última vez que vino se tuvo que ir antes de tiempo y no hubo oportunidad de hacer algo nuevo y bueno. Rechazadas por 2 revistas mexicanas y varias extranjeras, estas fotos me siguen gustando mucho y son de mis favoritas.

We took them two days after we made another set with Sik, my favorite male model. I made them just because, without a reason, just my model and a white fabric.

I used the TE AMO t's, but we never found the one with the face of Kate Moss, that's the reason why we called it like that. I hope Sik is planning visit me soon, because the last time he went to Mexico he had to go before it was planned and we couldn't make another photo shot. Rejected by two mexican magazines and some other international publications, I love these photos and they are some of my favorites.
